‘EYE’ WANT is an interactive animation exploring the relationship between human desires and their impact on our emotions. Inspired by the idea that "life swings between pain and boredom" as desires are either unfulfilled or lead to dissatisfaction, the work reflects how consumerism amplifies our cravings, leaving us trapped in an endless cycle of wanting more. Even though we rarely discuss our desires openly, they are revealed in our every glance. The title, ‘EYE’ WANT, carries a dual meaning: the eyes follow what they desire (‘eye’ want), and the desire revealed in the eyes reflects our innermost self (‘I’ want).‘EYE’ WANT 是一件互动动画作品，探讨了人类欲望与情感之间的关系。灵感来源于“人生在未满足时痛苦，满足后无聊，生命如同在痛苦与无聊之间的钟摆”这一观点。作品反映了消费主义时代中，人类欲望被无限放大的现象，以及资源的易得性如何让人们渴求更多，从而陷入无尽的“狄德罗效应”。尽管我们很少直言自己的欲望，但它却显露在每一次眼神中。作品标题 ‘EYE’ WANT 包含双重含义：眼睛追随欲望（eye want），而眼中流露的欲望实际上是我们内心深处的渴望（I want）。
In this work, I categorize modern human desires into three groups: money, food, and social status. Each click on the screen switches the icons along the mouse track between these desires, while the eyes on the screen follow the mouse's movement, symbolizing the pursuit of these cravings. Desire is ultimately love and lack; living solely for desire leaves the heart empty. Although desire can be infinite, I choose not to live a life consumed entirely by it.
在这件作品中，我将现代人的欲望分为三类：对金钱、食物和社会地位的渴望。每次点击屏幕，鼠标轨迹上的图标会在这三种欲望之间切换，而屏幕中的眼睛会追随鼠标的移动，象征着人类对欲望的追逐。欲望本质上是爱与缺乏的结合，若人只为欲望而活，内心将永远空虚。尽管欲望可以是无止境的，但我不想让自己的生活完全被欲望填满。
